Study on the Mechanical Abrasion of the Filter Bags
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013In this paper, we have studied the mechanical abrasion of the filter bags used in Electrostatic-fabric Integrated Collector (EFIC) and baghouse systems. Four factors have been listed: the effect of improper structure design and installation, the effect of quality of filter bag and poor filter cages.

Mechanical polishing with a film of abrasive
Economic Geology, 1941An improved polishing method utilizing a film of abrasive on metal laps is described. The abrasive film provides a greater number of active cutting particles than a fixed abrasive and does not give a surface with scratches and waviness such as is produced by a freely rolling abrasive. With this technique, a mounted surface can be ground and polished in

Clarification of magnetic abrasive finishing mechanism
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2003Abstract In order to clarify the mechanism of magnetic abrasive polishing, a planar type process for a non-magnetic material, stainless steel, was examined. A magnetic abrasive brush was formed between a magnetic pole and a workpiece material, in which the summation of three kinds of energy necessary for magnetization of abrasives, i.e.

The mechanism of metal removal by an abrasive tool
Wear, 1978Abstract To study the basic mechanism of metal removal with abrasive tools, the cutting action of a simulated tool was arrested by a quick stop device. The material behavior ahead of the tool face during cutting was observed by examining the cross section along the cutting groove microscopically.

Mechanisms of Rubber Abrasion in Unsteady State
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1984Abstract Abrasion of rubber under the action of mechanical stress appears to involve two basic processes: micromolecular fracture and macrodelamination. The formation of ridges mainly results from the effect of tearing and tensile rupture, but the production of small particles is mainly due to the effect of microcutting.
