Fracture Mechanics Applied to Rubber Abrasion
1974A novel theory has been developed which directly relates the abrasion of rubber by a knife edge to its crack-growth characteristics. The approach is based on fracture mechanics which has been successfully used to interpret other failure processes in rubbers.

Mechanical Seals for Abrasive and Clogging Media
1992In 1991 a new range of submersible pumps particulary designed to handle abrasive and clogging media was introduced by ITT Flygt. Pumping this kind of media put new and higher demands on the sealing system between the pump housing and the electric motor and required a new approach.
