Discovery of an Adaptive Neuroimmune Response Driving Itch and Fast Tick Removal with Implications for Preventing Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Doehl et al. discovered an adaptive neuroimmune mechanism that induces itch in tick‐exposed guinea pigs, enabling rapid tick removal. This itch‐induced tick removal (IITR) is mediated by an adaptive cellular immune response and is independent of IgG, IgE, or TRPV1.

High‐Efficiency CO2 Electrolysis Enabled by Interface‐Engineered Composite Electrolytes in Ni‐Based SOEC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study addresses the critical issue of delamination between YSZ and GDC electrolytes in SOECs, which is caused by Thermal deformation disparity. A novel YSZ‐GDC composite interlayer, fabricated using a simple dip‐coating method, is introduced to solve this problem. This layer effectively suppresses delamination by mitigating thermal stress.

Gradient Ion Beams Regulate Surface Group Modification to Enhance Interfacial Charge Transport in Triboelectric Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study addresses the core scientific question of atomic‐scale structural units and their assembly mechanisms by integrating ion implantation technology— originally developed in nuclear physics research—with flexible intelligent polymers. Through this interdisciplinary approach, we have enabled on‐demand customization of surface functionalities and ...

Pan2‐Pan3 Complex‐Mediated Deadenylation Enforces mRNA Quality Control for Infection of the Rice Blast Fungus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Discovery that deadenylation, rather than transcription, acts as the rate‐limiting step for developmental timing in a plant pathogen. Evidence that P‐body integrity and mRNA decay are mechanistically coupled to rapid cellular differentiation under environmental stress. Identification of Pan2‐Pan3 as a pathogen‐specific “meta‐virulence factor” absent in
