Biofilm removal capacity and titanium surface integrity in non‐abrasive versus abrasive peri‐implantitis cleaning interventions

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Current peri‐implantitis treatment methods are modeled after dental cleaning modalities like abrasive surface cleaning. However, mechanical abrasive cleaning not only inadequately removes implant biofilms but also compromises implant surface integrity with adverse biological effects.

Influence of the Cr to Ti Ratio on the High‐Temperature Oxidation Behavior of TaMoCrTiAl Complex Concentrated Alloys in Nitrogen‐Free Atmospheres

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Ta‐Mo‐Cr‐Ti‐Al refractory high‐entropy alloys show atmosphere‐dependent oxidation performance based on Cr:Ti ratios. Cr‐rich compositions excel in dry oxygen through continuous chromia formation, while Ti‐rich alloys perform better in humid conditions due to reduced chromium volatilization and hydrogen uptake effects.
