Navigating Neoliberal Pressures and Patriarchal Legacies: The Lasting Impact of Feudal–Patriarchal Work Relations in Polish Artistic Universities

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 379-398, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines the persistence and transformation of patriarchal–feudal structures in Polish art universities in the context of post‐1989 higher education (HE) reforms. Drawing on 22 in‐depth interviews with socially engaged academic staff (18 women and four men) across 11 Polish artistic institutions, the study explores how ...

Question the Mark: A Review and Assessment of Bat Marking Practices

open access: yesMammal Review, Volume 56, Issue 1, March 2026.
We reviewed a decade of research on bats and conducted a broader systematic review to assess the nature of bat marking practices and the effects and efficacy of marks. Effects of marks on bats, mark details and marking procedures are rarely reported and further research on the effects of marks on bats and more thorough reporting are needed.

Mechanical Performance Assessment and Streamlined Life‐Cycle Analysis of Random‐Waste Coir‐Fiber Metal Laminates

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 4, Page 3582-3600, 20 February 2026.
The Promise of Coir Fiber Laminates in Sustainable Structural Engineering. ABSTRACT This study explores sandwich structures based on the waste fiber metal laminate concept, integrating short random‐coir‐fiber composites with aluminium skins. The research investigates the combination of low‐cost aluminum alloy and natural fiber composites, focusing on ...

An Efficient Multi‐Physics GPT‐PINN Framework for Predicting Reactive Solute Transport in Parameterized Groundwater Systems

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Abstract Modeling coupled groundwater flow and reactive transport for multi‐query tasks is computationally prohibitive, and standard Physics‐Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) require costly retraining for each new parameter. We introduce the Multi‐Physics Generative Pre‐trained PINN (MP‐GPT‐PINN), a meta‐learning framework to resolve this bottleneck ...

Strain Effects in a Directly Bonded Diamond‐on‐Insulator Substrate

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 223, Issue 3, 6 February 2026.
Strain effects in a directly bonded diamond‐on‐insulator substrate are investigated using NV‐based optically detected magnetic resonance and photoluminescence mapping. Enhanced volumetric and shear strain is observed near the bonded interface, but without significant degradation of NV optical properties.
