Challenges during Flash Lamp Annealing of Aerosol‐Deposited Barium Titanate Films

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 3, 4 February 2026.
Aerosol deposition is used to rapidly deposit barium titanate films with thicknesses ranging from 2 to 16 μm at room temperature, eliminating the need for further densification. However, to recover the electromechanical properties, annealing is required, which limits the usage of temperature‐sensitive substrates.

Softness abrasive flow polishing method using constrained boundary vibration

Powder Technology, 2021
Abstract The polishing efficiency of the soft abrasive flow (SAF) method is low, especially for the hard-brittle materials. To resolve this problem, an abrasive flow polishing method using ultrasonic vibration is proposed. The polishing mechanism is first introduced, then the Euler multiphase model is used to build the fluid mechanical model of the ...

Abrasive Flow Polishing of Micro Bores

Materials and Manufacturing Processes, 2004
Micro bore finishing for metal and ceramic materials has been a challenge in the manufacturing industry. Unfortunately, little is understood about how to polish a micro bore and how to assess its inner wall quality because it is difficult to access the micro bore for either polishing or measurement.
