Numerical analysis and experiment on pressure of polished Z-tube with abrasive flow [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Measurements in Engineering, 2018
Aiming at the problem that the complex parts are difficult to process precisely, a flexible processing method, abrasive flow technology, is proposed. Based on the FLUENT software, a realizable k-ε model was adopted and a Z-tube was used as the research object for numerical analysis. Parameters such as turbulence intensity, turbulent kinetic energy, and

Enhancing Direct Solar Water Splitting via ALD of Multifunctional TiO2/Pt Nanoparticle Coatings With Engineered Interfaces to GaAs/GaInP Tandem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multifunctional atomic layer deposited coatings and interface treatments enhance direct solar water splitting on GaAs/GaInP tandem cells. Optimized TiO2/Pt nanoparticle bilayers ensure durability and catalytic efficiency with minimal optical losses, while H2 plasma pretreatments maximize photovoltage and interfacial charge extraction.

Hydrodynamics of slurry flow in chemical mechanical polishing : a review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) is a process that is commonly used to planarize wafer surfaces during fabrication. Although the complex interactions between the wafer, pad, and slurry make the CMP process difficult to predict, it has been postulated ...

The Polishing of Inner Wall on Medical Device Hole by Shear Thickening Abrasive Flow

open access: yesCoatings, 2023
To improve medical device hole inner wall quality and overcome issues of traditional abrasive flow methods—limited fluidity in small holes causing deformation due to high inner wall pressure, and slow processing with low viscosity abrasives—a new method called shear thickening abrasive flow polishing is suggested.

Mesoporous Carbon Thin Films with Large Mesopores as Model Material for Electrochemical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous carbon thin films possessing 70 nm mesopores are prepared on titanium substrates by soft templating of resol resins with a self‐synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(hexyl acrylate) block copolymer. A strategy to avoid corrosion of the metal substrate is presented, and the films are extensively characterized in terms of morphology ...
