Effect of Pressure, Feed Rate, and Abrasive Mass Flow Rate on Water Jet Cutting Efficiency When Cutting Recombinant Bamboo

open access: yesBioResources, 2014
The impact of varying pressure, feed rate, and abrasive mass flow rate on the efficiency of an abrasive water jet cutting process was studied in this work. Recombinant bamboo samples with thicknesses of 5, 10, and 15 mm were cut by the abrasive water jet.

Operating in perpetual motion? Coping with the dark side of global boundary spanning

open access: yesGlobal Strategy Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary This paper explores how individuals experience and cope with the demands of global boundary spanning in multinational enterprises (MNEs). We foreground temporary colocation as a modality through which mobile global boundary spanners repeatedly traverse multiple boundaries, triggering intense demands with adverse consequences ...

Impact of abrasive versus non‐abrasive cleaning on peri‐implantitis titanium release: A randomized clinical trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Surface decontamination is integral to peri‐implantitis treatment. However, abrasive mechanical methods can cause implant surface degradation with possible adverse biological effects. No human studies have examined whether these treatments cause titanium release or impair regenerative outcomes.
