Abrasive water jet machining (AWJM) is a relatively new machining technique. Abrasive Water Jet Machining is extensively used in many industrial applic ations. AWJM is a non- conventional machining process where material is removed by impa ct erosion of high pressure high velocity of water and entrained high velocity of grit abrasi ves on a work piece.

Modeling of Abrasive Water Jet Machining Process
This paper presents the modeling of abrasive water jet cutting and development of analytical expressions for material removal rate during abrasive water jet machining process. Water jet machining employs the principle of increasing the pressure of water and to subsequently discharge the water through an orifice.
