New Delay-dependent Absolute Stability Criteria for Lurie Control Systems

Acta Automatica Sinica, 2008
Abstract This note is concerned with the absolute stability analysis for time-delay Lurie control systems with nonlinearity located in an infinite sector and finite one. By using a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional that splits the whole delay interval into two subintervals and defines a different energy function on each subinterval and introducing ...

Absolute Dependence on Chloride for Acid Secretion in Isolated Gastric Glands

Gastroenterology, 1977
Isolated glands from the rabbit gastric mucosa lost their ability to accumulate H+ ions when incubated in Cl–-free solutions, as measured by accumulation of the weak base aminopyrine (AP). Simultaneously, basal oxygen consumption was significantly increased (+ 56%).

Gastric H+ secretion in presence of substrates: absolute dependence on secretagogues

American Journal of Physiology-Legacy Content, 1976
Spontaneously secreting gastric mucosae of the bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana) were brought to resting states in the absence of both the exogenous secretagogue and energy-yielding substrate, either by treatment with burimamide or by the classical method of prolonged preincubation. Glucose, pyruvate, lactate, and tricarboxylic acid cycle intermediates were

Size-Dependent Absolute Quantum Yields for Size-Separated Colloidally-Stable Silicon Nanocrystals

Nano Letters, 2011
Size-selective precipitation was used to successfully separate colloidally stable allylbenzene-capped silicon nanocrystals into several visible emitting monodisperse fractions traversing the quantum size effect range of 1-5 nm. This enabled the measurement of the absolute quantum yield and lifetime of photoluminescence of allylbenzene-capped silicon ...

Absolute and Relative Short-Term Stability of Interpersonal Dependency in Suicide Attempters

Journal of Nervous & Mental Disease, 2012
Previous studies have reported an association between suicide and interpersonal dependency (IPD), but no study has examined whether IPD constitutes a state-dependent phenomenon or an enduring personality trait in this association. The aims of the present study were, firstly, to evaluate both the absolute and the relative stability of IPD as well as ...

Specific heat of vitreous systems: Temperature dependence near absolute zero

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1973
Unlike the low temperature heat capacities (L.T. CV) of crystals, those of vitreous substances near T = 0 K require the formula CV/3R = C1T+C2T2+C3T3+C5T5+…, where the constants C1 and C2 represent the anomalous excess characteristic of vitreous systems. The C3 and C5 represent, respectively, Debye and dispersion terms as for crystals.

Normal Arc Characteristic Curves: Dependence on Absolute Temperature of Anode

Physical Review, 1926
The equation $V=A+(\frac{B}{{I}^{n}})$ for normal arc characteristic curves has been verified and the temperature range over which $n$ has been found to be proportional to the absolute temperature of the boiling point of the anode material has been extended to include the zinc arc in argon at 1180\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}K with 0.345 for $n ...

Absolutely Transparent Boundary Conditions for Time-Dependent Wave-Type Problems

1999
The strict formulation of the Artificial Boundary Conditions (ABC) in the case of the wave equation is presented. The exact nonlocal ABC are obtained by means of Riemann’s method. The corresponding Riemann’s functions can be used for creating ABC for each Fourier mode. Approximate ABCs are also presented.
