Internal absolute geometry I: desingularization [PDF]

open access: green, 2021
We introduce an axiomatization of Grothendieck sites with additional structure, and we describe sheaves that reconstruct groupoids which are internal to the site structure. This setting applies to various concrete situations, where a Nash blowup of a singular space results in an almost regular foliation.

New Conformal Invariants in Absolute Parallelism Geometry [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2016
The aim of the present paper is to investigate conformal changes in absolute parallelism geometry. We find out some new conformal invariants in terms of the Weitzenb\"ock connection and the Levi-Civita connection of an absolute parallelism space.Comment:

Stereo Feature Learning Based on Attention and Geometry for Absolute Hand Pose Estimation in Egocentric Stereo Views [PDF]

open access: goldIEEE Access, 2021
Egocentric hand pose estimation is significant for wearable cameras since the hand interactions are captured from an egocentric viewpoint. Several studies on hand pose estimation have recently been presented based on RGBD or RGB sensors.

A Note on Absolute Geometry [PDF]

open access: bronzeCanadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1968
Metric axioms have been given in [3] for space euclidean geometry. If we replace the "similarity axiom" by the "congruence axiom", where congruence is defined to be a similarity of ratio one, the resulting structure is absolute geometry. In order to show this we choose a suitable definition for absolute geometry.

Axioms for Absolute Geometry [PDF]

open access: bronzeCanadian Journal of Mathematics, 1968
The axioms of Euclidean geometry may be divided into four groups: the axioms of order, the axioms of congruence, the axiom of continuity, and the Euclidean axiom of parallelism (6). If we omit this last axiom, the remaining axioms give either Euclidean or hyperbolic geometry.

An Epipolar Geometry Guided Feature Matching Method for Absolute Visual Localization of UAV

open access: goldIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Autonomous localization is a fundamental requirement for uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) navigation tasks. In environments where the Global Navigation Satellite System is unavailable, visual localization utilizing onboard cameras emerges as the primary ...

Absolute geometry and the Habiro topology [PDF]

open access: green, 2016
Lecture notes of a course on A. Smirnov's approach to the ABC-conjecture via F1-geometry and an attempt to relate this to Jim Borger's F1-geometry based on lambda-rings.

An Algebraic Approach to Neutrosophic Euclidean Geometry [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2021
The objective of this paper is to present a general definition of Neutrosophic Euclidean geometry. The mechanism of comparison between neutrosophic numbers is introduced, as well as the absolute value is extended to the neutrosophical case.

Pore-scale modeling of pore structure properties and wettability effect on permeability of low-rank coal

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology, 2023
Permeability is a key parameter for coalbed methane development. Although the absolute permeability of coal has been extensively studied, wettability and pore structure properties continue to challenge the microscopic description of water-gas flow in ...
