The work demonstrates that strategic wall‐thickness grading in diamond triply periodic minimal surface lattices enables precise tuning of deformation and failure behavior under compression. Different gradation patterns guide how and where the structure collapses, improving energy absorption or promoting controlled brittle failure.

Molecular properties of linear amino acids in water
Four linear amino acids of increased separation of the carboxyl and amino groups, namely glycine (aminoacetic acid), β-alanine (3-aminopropanoic acid), GABA (4-aminobutanoic acid) and DAVA (5-aminopentanoic acid), have been studied by quantum chemical ab

Spatial Geometry and Special Relativity: a comparative approach
In this work, it is shown the interplay of relative and absolute entities, which are present in both spatial geometry and special relativity. In order to strengthen the understanding of special relativity, we discuss firstly an instance of geometry and ...

Van Hail levels included the content of math curriculum of preparatory school
Three-dimensional geometry is regarded as the most important branch in mathematics because of its relation to practical life and at the same time is an active and enjoyable material; the students regarded it as a complex and understood. Van Hill had

A model for emergence of space and time
We study string field theory (third quantization) of the two-dimensional model of quantum geometry called generalized CDT (“causal dynamical triangulations”).

Analytical prediction of stability limit in turning operations [PDF]
Unstable cutting due to chatter vibrations is one of the most important problems during metal cutting operations. Chatter can be a limitation for productivity and surface quality in turning operations, especially when long and slender tools and parts are

Geometries for Possible Kinematics
The algebras for all possible Lorentzian and Euclidean kinematics with $\frak{so}(3)$ isotropy except static ones are re-classified. The geometries for algebras are presented by contraction approach.

Absolute concentration robustness: Algebra and geometry
Motivated by the question of how biological systems maintain homeostasis in changing environments, Shinar and Feinberg introduced in 2010 the concept of absolute concentration robustness (ACR). A biochemical system exhibits ACR in some species if the steady-state value of that species does not depend on initial conditions.

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...
