A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics

Can Spacetime Help Settle Any Issues in Modern Philosophy? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper has two goals. (i) I explore the limits of the mathematical theory of spacetime (more generally, differential geometry) as an analytical tool for interpreting early modern thought.

Consciousness and Absolute. Subjectivity and objectivity between Bergsonian philosophy and Indian thought

open access: yesNóema, 2012
Moving by a theoretic approach, the paper intends to think through the connections between the Indian philosophy of Śaṃkara (the greater thinker of the Vedanta school, lived in the VIII century b. C.) and the thought of H. Bergson. By such a prospective,

Schooling Trajectories and the Development of Brain Dynamics: A Comparative Study of Montessori and Traditional Education

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We investigate whether Montessori and traditional schooling systems shape the developmental trajectory of large‐scale brain dynamics in different ways. We quantify the arrow of time (“non‐reversibility”) in neural activity during resting state and movie‐watching, revealing distinct maturational patterns.

Data‐Driven Modeling of Composition–Processing–Microstructure Relations for Recycled Aluminum Cast Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Interpretable machine learning reveals how composition and processing govern the formation and microstructural burden of Fe‐rich intermetallic compounds in recycled Al–Si–Fe–Mn alloys. By separating morphology selection from morphology‐conditioned burden partitioning, this framework shows that identical Fe contents can yield different intermetallic ...

Mechanically Adaptive Polyimide Interfaces for Stable High‐Voltage NCM–Sulfide All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanically adaptive polyimide interface dynamically stabilizes single‐crystal cathodes in sulfide all‐solid‐state batteries. By integrating robust chemical coordination with viscoelastic compliance, this smart coating suppresses parasitic reactions and accommodates cyclic volume expansion.

An Embodied Paper‐Based Microfluidic Al‐Air Battery for Enduring Untethered Insect‐Scale Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a centimeter‐scale microfluidic aluminum–air battery (MFAAB) with dual‐surface anode and F−‐mediated byproduct decomposition. The design enables a high capacity of 2697.05 mAh/g Al and delivers tens of milliwatts to power LEDs, motors, and a toy car.

Thoroughness of philosophy and return to religion in Tanabe Hajime [version 2; peer review: 2 approved]

open access: yesF1000Research
Japanese philosopher Tanabe Hajime (1885–1962) not only discussed religion in ways that were rooted in the fundamental claims of his writings, such as Shinran in Philosophy as Metanoetics (1946), but he also made proposals on religion, as in ...
