The Shapley-Folkman Theorem and the Range of a Bounded Measure: An Elementary and Unified Treatment [PDF]
We present proofs, based on the Shapley-Folkman theorem, of the convexity of the range of a strongly continuous, finitely additive measure, as well as that of an atomless, countably additive measure.

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

Nonmonotonic Enhancement of Electro‐Optic Properties of Wurtzite AlN Thin Films by Sc Doping
EO coefficient, rc, for Sc‐AlN thin films in comparison with that for Mg ZnO thin films (left). Calculated electric field intensity of the fundamental mode supported by the active area that includes Sc‐AlN (right). ABSTRACT Wurtzite ferroelectrics, such as Sc‐doped AlN, have recently attracted considerable attention for their potential in realizing ...

Complex plasmas: Interaction potentials and non-Hamiltonian dynamics [PDF]
This thesis is a cumulative dissertation that consists of three papers. The first paper addresses the issue of screening of a charged dust particle suspended in the plasma-wall transition layer of a plasma discharge.

Temperature Sensitivity and Adaptation of Cereal Yields: Empirical Evidence From Italy
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the evolving temperature sensitivity and climate adaptation of cereal yields in Italy from 1952 to 2023, using province‐level data for maize, common wheat, and durum wheat. Employing panel data econometric methods, we estimate yield responses to heat exposure, changes in sensitivity over time, and adaptation to climate ...

Nonquadratic penalization improves near-infrared diffuse optical tomography
A new approach that can easily incorporate any generic penalty function into the diffuse optical tomographic image reconstruction is introduced to show the utility of nonquadratic penalty functions. The penalty functions that were used include quadratic (
