Discordance Between Patient and Physician Global Assessments in Early Systemic Sclerosis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aims to identify factors associated with patient global assessment (PtGA) and physician global assessment (PhGA) and discordance between them in systemic sclerosis (SSc). Methods Data from adults with early SSc (<5 years) from the Collaborative National Quality and Efficacy Registry were included.

Study on deformation characteristics and crack extension law of cement stabilized phosphogypsum materials under dry and wet cycles.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
The resource utilization of phosphogypsum has been a worldwide problem. Previous research was limited to mixing phosphogypsum with other materials (lime, gravel, red clay) to play an auxiliary role rather than being the main part, the utilization rate is

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Variable Discourse Domain Fuzzy PID Controller Based on SSA Optimization and Its Application in Sewage Treatment Process [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng
Owing to complex biochemical reactions and the constant change in influent flow and concentration, sewage treatment processes exhibit strong nonlinear and time-varying characteristics, making it difficult to control the process variables accurately ...

The mean number of 3-torsion elements in the class groups and ideal groups of quadratic orders

open access: yes, 2016
We determine the mean number of 3-torsion elements in the class groups of quadratic orders, where the quadratic orders are ordered by their absolute discriminants.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.
