A Weak Selection Stochastic Gradient Matching Pursuit Algorithm

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In the existing stochastic gradient matching pursuit algorithm, the preliminary atomic set includes atoms that do not fully match the original signal. This weakens the reconstruction capability and increases the computational complexity.

Absolute convergence and error thresholds in non-active adaptive sampling [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Computer and System Sciences, 129 (2020) , pp 39-61. ISSN 1090-2724. Elsevier
Non-active adaptive sampling is a way of building machine learning models from a training data base which are supposed to dynamically and automatically derive guaranteed sample size. In this context and regardless of the strategy used in both scheduling and generating of weak predictors, a proposal for calculating absolute convergence and error ...

Photoionization cross section measurements of the excited states of cobalt in the near-threshold region

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
We present measurements of photoionization cross-sections of the excited states of cobalt using a two-color, two-step resonance ionization technique in conjunction with a molecular beam time of flight (TOF) mass spectrometer.

Thresholds for reduction-related entanglement criteria in quantum information theory [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum Information and Computation, Vol. 15, No. 13&14 (2015), 1165-1184, 2015
We consider random bipartite quantum states obtained by tracing out one subsystem from a random, uniformly distributed, tripartite pure quantum state. We compute thresholds for the dimension of the system being traced out, so that the resulting bipartite quantum state satisfies the reduction criterion in different asymptotic regimes.

Enhanced dose prediction for head and neck cancer artificial intelligence‐driven radiotherapy based on transfer learning with limited training data

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Training deep learning dose prediction models for the latest cutting‐edge radiotherapy techniques, such as AI‐based nodal radiotherapy (AINRT) and Daily Adaptive AI‐based nodal radiotherapy (DA‐AINRT), is challenging due to limited data.

Reliability of intracortical inhibiton measured using threshold tracking technique

open access: yesНервно-мышечные болезни
Background. Paired-pulse transcranial magnetic stimulation allows assessing intracortical inhibition. However, a high variability of motor evoked potential (MEP) amplitude is a limitation of its use.

Erasure coding for distributed matrix multiplication for matrices with bounded entries [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Distributed matrix multiplication is widely used in several scientific domains. It is well recognized that computation times on distributed clusters are often dominated by the slowest workers (called stragglers). Recent work has demonstrated that straggler mitigation can be viewed as a problem of designing erasure codes.

The effect of kV imaging dose on PTV and OAR planning constraints in lung SBRT using stereoscopic/monoscopic real‐time tumor‐monitoring system

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Quantify the impact of additional imaging doses on clinical dose constraints during lung stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) treatment utilizing stereoscopic/monoscopic real‐time tumor monitoring. Materials and Methods Thirty lung SBRT patients treated with the volumetric arc therapy technique were randomly selected from the ...
