Sparse Solution of Underdetermined Linear Equations via Adaptively Iterative Thresholding [PDF]
Finding the sparset solution of an underdetermined system of linear equations $y=Ax$ has attracted considerable attention in recent years. Among a large number of algorithms, iterative thresholding algorithms are recognized as one of the most efficient and important classes of algorithms.

Abstract Purpose This study compares the dosimetric accuracy of deep‐learning‐based MR synthetic CT (sCT) in brain radiotherapy between the Analytical Anisotropic Algorithm (AAA) and AcurosXB (AXB). Additionally, it proposes a novel metric to predict the dosimetric accuracy of sCT for individual post‐surgical brain cases.

Abstract Background The dose‐averaged linear energy transfer (LETD) in proton therapy (PT) has in pre‐clinical studies been linked to the relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of protons. Until recently, the most common PT delivery method in prostate cancer has been double‐scattered PT, with LETD only available through dedicated Monte Carlo (MC ...

Absolute and relative disparity mechanisms revealed by an equivalent noise analysis
The precision of stereopsis and vergence are ultimately limited by internal binocular disparity noise. Here we propose an equivalent noise model with both global and local internal disparity noises to provide a unified explanation of both absolute and ...

Noise and the absolute thresholds of cone and rod vision [PDF]
Literature data on light detection by cone and rod vision at absolute threshold are analysed in order (1) to decide whether the threshold performance of dark-adapted cone vision can, like that of rod vision, be consistently explained as limited by noise from a "dark light"; (2) to obtain comparable estimates of the dark noise and dark light of (foveal)
