Developmental, Neuroanatomical and Cellular Expression of Genes Causing Dystonia
ABSTRACT Objective Dystonia is one of the most common movement disorders, with variants in multiple genes identified as causative. However, an understanding of which developmental stages, brain regions, and cell types are most relevant is crucial for developing relevant disease models and therapeutics.

A Weak Selection Stochastic Gradient Matching Pursuit Algorithm
In the existing stochastic gradient matching pursuit algorithm, the preliminary atomic set includes atoms that do not fully match the original signal. This weakens the reconstruction capability and increases the computational complexity.

Objective We aimed to identify unique disease trajectories within rheumatoid arthritis–associated interstitial lung disease (RA‐ILD) based on longitudinal forced vital capacity (FVC) values and their associated clinical outcomes. Methods We performed a cohort study of RA‐ILD within the Veterans Health Administration from 1999 to 2021.

Modelling Catastrophic Risk in International Equity Markets: An Extreme Value Approach [PDF]
This letter uses the Block Maxima Extreme Value approach to quantify catastrophic risk in international equity markets. Risk measures are generated from a set threshold of the distribution of returns that avoids the pitfall of using absolute returns for ...

Knee Crepitus and Osteoarthritis Features in Young Adults Following Traumatic Knee Injury
Objective This study explored the association between knee crepitus and the presence, and worsening, of structural osteoarthritis features and self‐reported outcomes in young adults following traumatic knee injury. Methods One year following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), 112 participants (41 female participants; median age 28 years ...

The Impact of Prudence on Optimal Prevention Revisited [PDF]
This paper re-examines the link between absolute prudence and self-protection activities. We show that the level of effort chosen by a prudent agent is larger than the optimal effort chosen by a risk-neutral agent if and only if the degree of absolute ...

Behavioral estimates of absolute visual threshold in mice
Behavioral measurements on the water maze show night blindness in albino mice but cortical recordings show no difference between pigmented and congenic albino mice. Consequently we have measured the absolute threshold in albino and pigmented mice using an operant method. The estimated threshold value is -5.3 log cd/m2 for albino mice and -5.5 log cd/m2
