White Matter Microstructural Correlates of Auditory Brainstem Responses in Patients With Charcot‐Marie‐Tooth Disease

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
We quantitatively analyzed the cerebral white matter microstructure in patients with CMT using DTI. We identified cerebral white matter microstructural abnormalities in CMT patients, including the FMA and ILF. These alterations correlated with ABR interpeak latencies, suggesting impaired central auditory processing due to disrupted axonal‐myelin ...

EEG Microstates Are Associated with Motor Function in Parkinson's Disease: A Cross‐Sectional Observational Study

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Parkinson's disease patients exhibited distinct abnormalities in microstate D, including increased mean coverage, mean duration, and incoming transition probabilities. Notably, both the coverage of microstate D and the transition probability from microstate B to D correlated with motor symptom severity, suggesting their potential as biomarkers for ...

Sex‐Specific Response to Predator Auditory Cues in Asian Corn Borer (Ostrinia furnacalis)

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Females downregulate more DEGs; males upregulate under predation risk. Males boost ecdysteroid; females reduce fecundity under bat ultrasound. Female O. furnacalis reacted more strongly to auditory cues of bats than males. ABSTRACT Predation risk has profound effects on prey from phenotype to gene expression.
