New Integral Inequalities Relating to a General Integral Operators Through Monotone Functions [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2022
Weighted integral inequalities for general integral operators on monotone positive functions with parameters $p$ and $q$ are established in [4]. The aim of this work is to extend the results to different cases of these parameters, in particular for ...

The basic problem of the calculus of variations: Du Bois-Reymond equation, regularity of minimizers and of minimizing sequences

open access: yesBruno Pini Mathematical Analysis Seminar, 2023
We consider the basic problem of the Calculus of variations of minimizing an integral functional among the absolutely continuous functions that satisfy prescribed boundary conditions. We resume the state of the art and our recent contributions concerning

Approximation in variation by the Meyer-König and Zeller operators; pp. 88–97 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2011
The convergence in variation and the rate of approximation of the Meyer-König and Zeller operators are discussed. It is proved that for absolutely continuous functions the rate of approximation can be estimated via the total variation.

Existence and Approximation of Densities of Chord Length- and Cross Section Area Distributions

open access: yesImage Analysis and Stereology, 2023
In various stereological problems a n-dimensional convex body is intersected with an (n−1)-dimensional Isotropic Uniformly Random (IUR) hyperplane. In this paper the cumulative distribution function associated with the (n−1)-dimensional volume of such a ...

Bounded Analytic Functions and Absolutely Continuous Measures [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1967
This result was conjectured by A. E. Taylor in 1951 (see [7, p. 33]). The analogous proposition for two-sided sequences ...*, a-i, ao, a,, * * * }, with the space HX of bounded analytic functions replaced by LX and with Abel convergence replaced by Ces?aro convergence, had been established by H. Steinhaus [6] in 1919.

Investigating a Class of Generalized Caputo-Type Fractional Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2022
In this article, we prove some new uniqueness and Ulam-Hyers stability results of a nonlinear generalized fractional integro-differential equation in the frame of Caputo derivative involving a new kernel in terms of another function ψ.

Upper and lower absolutely continuous functions with applications to discontinuous differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2017
We use upper and lower absolutely continuous functions as subsolutions and supersolutions to discontinuous ordinary differential equations. We present sufficient conditions for the existence of extremal solutions to initial value problems. Due to a new

To recovering of continuous function by its sequences of Fejer sums at given set of points

open access: yesPracì Mìžnarodnogo Geometričnogo Centru, 2020
Показано, что непрерывная 2π-периодическая функция однозначно восстановливается (на всей прямой) по известным последовательностям своих сумм Фейера в заданном конечном наборе точек тогда и только тогда, когда найдутся две точки из этого набора ...

Equity Cost Induced Dichotomy for Optimal Dividends with Capital Injections in the Cramér-Lundberg Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
We investigate a control problem leading to the optimal payment of dividends in a Cramér-Lundberg-type insurance model in which capital injections incur proportional cost, and may be used or not, the latter resulting in bankruptcy. For general claims, we
