Two types of interaction phenomena of the lump wave for nonlinear model of Rossby waves [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this paper, we show the interaction phenomena about the first-order lump wave and multiple solitons by four theorems. The interaction phenomena are divided into two types, one type is absorbing collision phenomenon and the other type is elastic ...

Transport Phenomena in Excitable Systems: Existence of Bounded Solutions and Absorbing Sets

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, the transport phenomena of synaptic electric impulses are considered. The FitzHugh–Nagumo and FitzHugh–Rinzel models appear mathematically appropriate for evaluating these scientific issues.

Semicomplete absorbent sets in digraphs [PDF]

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2020
Let be a digraph and S a subset of vertices of D, S is an absorbent set if for every v in there exists a vertex u in S such that A subset S of V(D) is a semicomplete absorbent set if S is absorbent and the induced subdigraph is semicomplete. The minimum (respectively maximum) of the cardinalities of the semicomplete absorbent sets is the lower ...

Effective identification of dominant fully absorbing sets for Raptor-like LDPC codes

open access: yesETRI Journal, 2023
The error-rate floor of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes is attributed to the trapping sets of their Tanner graphs. Among them, fully absorbing sets dominantly affect the error-rate performance, especially for short blocklengths.

Sources of light-absorbing aerosol in arctic snow and their seasonal variation [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2010
Two data sets consisting of measurements of light absorbing aerosols (LAA) in arctic snow together with suites of other corresponding chemical constituents are presented; the first from Siberia, Greenland and near the North Pole obtained in 2008, and the
