3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Rewriting Polymer Fate via Chemomechanical Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a life‐like “living” polymer platform that can grow, degrow, and reprogram its properties after fabrication. By integrating mass transport, reversible polymerization, and controlled catalysis, the material achieves on‐demand changes in size, shape, and mechanical properties.

Multistage carbon dioxide compressor efficiency enhancement using waste heat powered absorption chillers

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering, 2021
The performance of a multistage centrifugal compressor is highly influenced by the ambient conditions, especially during the summer seasons; their capacity shrinks and thus the power requirement for compression will increase.

A Comprehensive Review of Waste‐Derived Materials for Solar Still Performance Enhancement

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Solar desalination reduces energy use and produces freshwater sustainably, but its productivity is limited and cannot meet rising demand. Thus, solar desalination system improvements are sought to boost water productivity. Waste materials are abundantly available and burden the environment, making them low‐cost enhancers for solar desalination

Failure Diagnosis System for Absorption Chiller/Heater.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1995
Recently, the absorption chiller/heater is attracting interest because it delivers airconditioning without using fluorocarbons. Practically, it requires periodical or non-periodical maintenance. It is difficult to detect failures except in summertime with large refrigerant load and, moreover, human expertise is needed for discrimination of their origin.
