The absorption coefficient for slow electrons in mercury vapour
The absorption coefficients of electrons having from 0.5 to 100 volts velocity were observed in the vapours of mercury, cadmium and zinc. Except for a small irregularity in cadmium, the absorption coefficient decreased uniformly with increasing velocity.
