Absorption Spectra of Exciplexes

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1971
Absorption spectra of the exciplexes of pyrene, anthracene, biphenyl, and naphthalene with diethylaniline (DEA) as a common electron donor are recorded by applying pulse laser photolysis. The numerous bands appearing in the spectra are analyzed and attributed to transitions from the emitting charge-transfer state, (A−D+), to higher excited charge ...

Resolution of absorption spectra

Computers & Chemistry, 1989
Abstract Absorption spectra are resolved on the basis of lognormal distribution. A procedure is described for resolving absorption spectra in terms of skewed bands.

Intensification of Absorption Spectra

Nature, 1963
Keilin and Hartree1 have described the sharpening and intensification of absorption spectra of haem compounds which occurred on making the observation at liquid air temperature. They observed that the intensification was due to light scattering by the ice crystals and could be duplicated by placing the cytochrome in a kaolin suspension.

Low Latitude Absorption Spectra

1983
Absorption spectra of the 21 cm line of neutral hydrogen at low latitudes constitute a new tracer of galactic structure, quite different from HI emission spectra because the absorption coefficient is proportional to n/T whereas the emission coefficient is proportional only to density n and independent of temperature T.

Absorption Spectra of Aldehydes

Nature, 1934
1. RECENT observations of the ultra-violet absorption bands in the vapours of a series of homologous aldehydes have disclosed a vibrational structure, which is very similar throughout the series, since 35 measurements have given an average separation of 1025 cm.-1 in the spectra of the higher homologues, although this interval increases to 1053 cm.-1 ...

Absorption Spectra Evaluation from Global Absorption Data

2004
The paper presents and discuss a new technique for the evaluation of the absorption spectrum of a body, whose coefficients of global absorption are known for a restricted number of incident grey-body spectra comprised in a given range of temperatures (T1, T2).

[Fluorescence spectra and absorption spectra of carvacrol].

Guang pu xue yu guang pu fen xi = Guang pu, 2015
Fluorescence spectra and absorption spectra of carvacrol, an active component of Chinese herbal medicines, have been studied. The ionization constant and fluorescence quantum yield of carvacrol were measured according to spectral data. Under the condition of pH < 2.0, fluorescence intensity of carvacrol increases with the increase in pH value.

Absorption Spectra of Proteins

Nature, 1939
IN a recent communication1, Prof. F. Haurowitz and Dr. T. Astrup describe observations of absorption spectra on solutions of native and digested serum globulin, which are said to be in better accord with the classical theory of the structure of proteins than with the cyclol hypothesis.

Deconvolution of Absorption Spectra

Physics Bulletin, 1982
William E Blass and George W Halsey 1981 New York: Academic ix + 158 pp price $23 After a general discussion of deconvolution, the book restricts itself to a consideration of one particular signal space deconvolution technique that has been found to be useful in the field of linear absorption spectroscopy.
