Interpolating point spread function anisotropy

open access: yes, 2012
Planned wide-field weak lensing surveys are expected to reduce the statistical errors on the shear field to unprecedented levels. In contrast, systematic errors like those induced by the convolution with the point spread function (PSF) will not benefit ...

A Short Proof of The Hermite’s Formula for Polynomial Interpolation Using Operator Methods

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we present a short proof of the Hermite’s formula for polynomial interpolation using the theory of linear algebra, without using Taylor series expansion as in the classic proof of this formula.

Multivariate polynomial fit: Decay heat removal system and pectin degrading Fe3O4‐SiO2 nanobiocatalyst activity

open access: yesIET Nanobiotechnology, 2021
Herein, multivariate Lagrange's interpolation polynomial (MLIP) and multivariate least square (MLS) methods are used to derive linear and higher‐order polynomials for two varied applications.

Micro and Nanostructural Diversity of Lizard Osteoderm Capping Tissue in Relation to Mechanical Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that lizard osteoderm capping tissue is a hyper‐mineralized hydroxyapatite layer consistently covering the superficial osteoderm surface in those species studied here, yet it varies greatly in morphology, nanostructure, and mechanical performance across species.

List and Probabilistic Unique Decoding of Folded Subspace Codes

open access: yes, 2015
A new class of folded subspace codes for noncoherent network coding is presented. The codes can correct insertions and deletions beyond the unique decoding radius for any code rate $R\in[0,1]$. An efficient interpolation-based decoding algorithm for this

MagPiezo: A Magnetogenetic Platform for Remote Activation of Endogenous Piezo1 Channels in Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MagPiezo enables wireless activation of endogenous Piezo1 channels without genetic modification using 19 nm magnetic nanoparticles and low‐intensity magnetic fields. It generates torque forces at the piconewton scale to trigger mechanotransduction in endothelial cells, standing as a novel platform to interrogate and manipulate Piezo1 activity in vitro.

Hardware acceleration of number theoretic transform for zk‐SNARK

open access: yesEngineering Reports, EarlyView., 2023
An FPGA‐based hardware accelerator with a multi‐level pipeline is designed to support the large‐bitwidth and large‐scale NTT tasks in zk‐SNARK. It can be flexibly scaled to different scales of FPGAs and has been equipped in the heterogeneous acceleration system with the help of HLS and OpenCL.

Partial Realization Theory and System Identification Redux

open access: yes, 2017
Some twenty years ago we introduced a nonstandard matrix Riccati equation to solve the partial stochastic realization problem. In this paper we provide a new derivation of this equation in the context of system identification. This allows us to show that
