A Design Specifications Template for Wearable Haptic Interfaces: A Case Study for Robotic Gripper Applications

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wearable haptic interfaces are increasingly important for enhancing human robot collaboration, particularly in decision critical tasks that require intuitive and reliable interaction. Despite advances in wearable systems, existing designs often lack a structured framework that systematically integrates sensing, actuation, control, and user ...

Automated Lawn Maintenance: An Agronomic and Operational Review of Turf Health, Biodiversity, and Field Performance

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Grass mowing is one of the most resource‐consuming activities in green maintenance, whether in private areas such as home gardens or in public spaces like urban parks. In recent years, concerns related to climate change, human health, and sustainability have become increasingly prominent in green maintenance, leading manufacturers and industry

From Inner Capacities to Global Outcomes: Social–Emotional Capital as a Driver of SDG Performance

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite unprecedented global commitment to the 2030 Agenda, progress toward the sustainable development goals (SDGs) continues to lag in ways that structural, institutional, and resource‐based explanations do not fully explain. This study argues that a critical missing dimension is human: the psychological and relational capacities that enable

Programmable 3D Microfluidics Reveals Motility‐Driven Antibiotic Resistance Evolution in Gradients

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Using a programmable microfluidic platform, this study shows that bacterial motility is crucial for resistance development in heterogeneous antibiotic landscapes. Motile Escherichia coli randomly migrates along antibiotic gradients, and sufficient movement is required for resistance to emerge.

Printing to Fight Antimicrobial Resistance Through Nano/Microstructured Platforms

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing enables the rational design of structured antimicrobial platforms across multiple length scales, from nanofibrous scaffolds and droplet microreactors to 3D and 4D printed constructs. By engineering confinement, interfacial chemistry, and stimuli‐responsive release, these systems exert localized action through complementary ...
