Our findings suggest that under lower emission scenarios, high‐retention harvesting is an effective strategy to conserve carabids over the next two decades and can increase species' resilience throughout short‐term periods of stress. Under more extreme emissions scenarios, high‐retention harvesting can be used to conserve carabid populations for ...

Extensible intraprocedural flow analysis at the abstract syntax tree level
We have developed a new approach for implementing precise intraprocedural control-flow and dataflow analyses at the abstract syntax tree level. Our approach is declarative, making use of reference attribute grammars augmented with circular attributes and collection attributes.

Fronting in Old Catalan: Asymmetries between Narration and Reported Speech1

Loanwords and Linguistic Phylogenetics: *pelek̑u‐ ‘axe’ and *(H)a(i̯)g̑‐ ‘goat’1
Abstract This paper assesses the role of borrowings in two different approaches to linguistic phylogenetics: Traditional qualitative analyses of lexemes, and quantitative computational analysis of cognacy. It problematises the assumption that loanwords can be excluded altogether from datasets of lexical cognacy.

Quantification at a distance and grammatical illusions in French
Abstract Recent research in psycholinguistics supports the hypothesis that retrieval from working memory is a key component of establishing syntactic dependencies in comprehension. This can result in so‐called grammatical illusions. These illusions have been modeled as the result of a content‐addressable retrieval process in sentence comprehension that

The Syntactic Status of Subject Clitics: A Problem from Venetan SE‐Constructions
Abstract This article reopens the discussion on the syntax of subject clitics (SCLs) in Venetan dialects by providing a problematic piece of data and outlining its theoretical consequences. New evidence from se‐constructions in Alto Polesine Venetan (APV) shows that SCLs resist a unitary categorisation even within the same dialect group: in varieties ...
