Persistently Increased Expression of PKMzeta and Unbiased Gene Expression Profiles Identify Hippocampal Molecular Traces of a Long‐Term Active Place Avoidance Memory and “Shadow” Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein complexes like KIBRA‐PKMζ are crucial for maintaining memories, forming month‐long protein traces in memory‐tagged neurons, but conventional RNA‐seq analysis fails to detect their transcript changes, leaving memory molecules undetected in the shadows of abundantly‐expressed genes.

Plane wave diffraction by a semi‐infinite parallel‐plate waveguide with partial material loading: The case of H polarisation

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation
The analysis of diffraction by a semi‐infinite parallel‐plate waveguide with partial material loading is rigorously carried out using the Wiener–Hopf technique for the H‐polarised plane wave incidence.

Parameter estimation for semilinear SPDEs from local measurements

open access: yes, 2020
This work contributes to the limited literature on estimating the diffusivity or drift coefficient of nonlinear SPDEs driven by additive noise. Assuming that the solution is measured locally in space and over a finite time interval, we show that the ...

Pseudoconvex Domains in Almost Complex Abstract Wiener Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 1993
The main aim of this rich, dense, and difficult paper is to establish the solvability of the \(\overline\partial\)-equation for a class of domains in an abstract Wiener space (endowed with an isomorphism whose square is - Id); the \(\overline \partial\) operator here is the composition of the projection onto \((p,q)\) forms, the antisymmetrization, and

Photonuclear Population of 229m,gTh in Th‐Doped Crystals Toward Nuclear Clock Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a novel photonuclear approach for producing the nuclear clock isomer 229mTh in thorium‐doped crystals, overcoming current supply limitations. Through cross‐section calculations and Monte Carlo simulations, we identify optimal crystal materials and irradiation conditions, achieving high signal‐to‐noise ratios.

On mutual information, likelihood-ratios and estimation error for the additive Gaussian channel

open access: yes, 2005
This paper considers the model of an arbitrary distributed signal x observed through an added independent white Gaussian noise w, y=x+w. New relations between the minimal mean square error of the non-causal estimator and the likelihood ratio between y ...

MTCA‐Net: Multi‐Task Cascade Analysis Network for Real‐Time Sperm Quality Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article proposes MTCA‐Net, a multi‐task cascaded analysis network for real‐time sperm quality assessment in intracytoplasmic sperm injection. The framework integrates detection, tracking, and segmentation modules to jointly analyze sperm morphology and motility.

Fourth moment theorems on the Poisson space in any dimension

open access: yes, 2018
We extend to any dimension the quantitative fourth moment theorem on the Poisson setting, recently proved by C. D\"obler and G. Peccati (2017). In particular, by adapting the exchangeable pairs couplings construction introduced by I. Nourdin and G. Zheng

High‐elevation endemic plants predicted to lose habitat from changing climate in Washington State

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise High‐elevation plants face unique challenges from potential climate change impacts that will likely require upslope migration into increasingly smaller suitable habitat. This situation is particularly acute for endemic species that by definition occupy small geographic ranges.
