Abundance and feeding ecology of Antarctic phaeodarian radiolarians

Marine Biology, 1989
Phaeodarian radiolarians were sampled from the upper 200 m along a transect through the ice-edge zone in the Weddell Sea in the austral autumn (March 1986) and at several stations in the western Antarctic Peninsula region in the austral winter (June 1987).

Ecological factors limiting the distributions and abundances of Odonata

2008
AbstractThis chapter reviews the ecological processes that define and limit the distributions and abundances of many odonate species across ecological environments. Distributions of species among standing bodies of water seem to be limited mainly by the distributions of their predators in the larval stage (e.g., larger dragonflies and fish).

The abundance, distribution, and ecologi, cal impact of doliolids

1998
Abstract The doliolid life cycle is complex (Chapter 1), with obligatory alternation of sexual and polymorphic asexual generations; in different doliolids, there are varying degrees of multiplication at sexual and asexual stages, and in one species there is a special short cycle. In brief, as summarized in Fig.
