Advancing design strategies in smart stimulus‐responsive liposomes for drug release and nanomedicine

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of stimulus‐responsive liposomes designed for controlled drug release and nanomedicine. The innermost circle represents different liposomal structures, including unilamellar, multilamellar, and multivesicular liposomes. The middle layer illustrates the responsive phospholipid components.

Lithium Borate/Boric Acid Optimized Multifunctional Binder Facilitates Silicon Anodes With Enhanced Initial Coulombic Efficiency, Structural Strength, and Cycling Stability

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 4, Issue 2, March 2025.
This research introduces a novel organic‐inorganic binder: sodium alginate‐lithium borate‐boric acid (Alg‐LBO‐BA), whose three‐dimensional network effectively buffers the volumetric changes of Si, maintaining overall stability. Additionally, LBO serves as a prelithiation agent, compensating for irreversible lithium consumption during SEI formation ...

Dynamic pH profiles drive higher cell‐specific and volumetric productivity

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Implementation of dyamic pH profiles for increased CHO cell culture productivity. Abstract Mammalian cell cultures in bioreactors rely heavily on critical process parameter control to ensure optimal growth, productivity, and reproducibility to produce recombinant therapeutic proteins. Culture pH has been shown to be a critical parameter that influences

Gold‐Dithiocarbamato Glycoconjugates as Potential Anticancer Agents: Design, Physico‐Chemical Characterization, and In Vitro Biological Activity

open access: yesChemBioChem, EarlyView.
Metal‐dithiocarbamato glycoconjugates based on gold(III), gold(I)‐phosphino, and gold(I)‐carbene scaffolds are here investigated as potential anticancer agents. Contrary to expectations, they induce cell death by acting at the extracellular level rather than targeting overexpressed glucose transporters.
