Advancing Bipolar Electrochemistry for Targeted Deposition of Biocompatible Polymers in Electrolyte‐Free Solutions via Finite Element Modeling

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 12, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
Modeling and experimental data for the synthesis and deposition of conducting polymers in high‐resistance solutions enabled by bipolar electrochemistry indicate the reaction control via homogenous rather than heterogeneous electron transfer conventionally postulated for bipolar electrochemical systems.

Enhanced Reversibility of Li‐Rich Binary Oxide Cathodes through Synergistic Interfacial Regulation for Improved Charge Transfer Kinetics at High Depth of Charge/Discharge

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
Synergistic interfacial regulation of Li‐rich binary oxide with 1 wt% Li1.4Al0.4Ti1.6(PO4)3 and 5 wt% polyaniline achieves nearly two orders of magnitude Li+ diffusion enhancement at high depth of charge/discharge, improving initial Coulombic efficiency, rate properties, and suppressing voltage decay by blocking structural degradation pathways. Lithium‐

Modification Mechanisms and Synergistic Effects of Nb/Al Codoping in High‐Nickel Cathode Materials for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
This study employs a Nb5+/Al3+ codoping strategy to synergistically regulate cation disorder and microstructure in high‐nickel cathode materials (LiNi0.83Co0.12Mn0.05O2). Nb doping refines primary particle size while Al doping suppresses Nb‐induced Li+/Ni2+ disorder. Their synergy mitigates microcracks.

Upcycling Photovoltaic Silicon Waste Into Cost‐Effectiveness Si/C Anode Materials

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Developed a high yield and high sphericity strategy that converts photovoltaic waste silicon (WSi) into cost‐effective Si/C composites (G‐Si@C). ABSTRACT While silicon/carbon (Si/C) is considered one of the most promising anode materials for the next generation of high‐energy lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), the industrialization of Si/C anodes is ...

Abundant Cu3P/Co2P/CoP@NC Heterostructures Boost Charge Transfer Toward Fast and Durable Sodium Storage

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Herein, Cu3P/Co2P/CoP@NC composites were successfully prepared by phosphate and carbonization treatment. The Cu3P/Co2P/CoP@NC composite shows superior cycling stability and rate performance due to its boosted charge transfer. ABSTRACT Heterogeneous structure and carbon coating are important ways to enhance the reaction kinetics and cycling stability of

Metal‐mediated IL‐8 binding to heparan sulfate evaluated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Accepted Article.
Heparan sulfate (HS) interactions with interleukin 8 (IL‐8) are crucial for immune system response. The structural features of the HS and the environmental entities, such as metal ions, can regulate these interactions. However, it is challenging to evaluate the effect of each parameter on the interactions because of low accessibility to well‐defined ...
