Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Design and implementation of a full analogue gate driver for current compensation of paralleled SiC‐MOSFETs

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
Silicon carbide MOSFETs have current ratings that are not sufficiently high to be used in high‐power converters. It is necessary to connect several MOSFETs in parallel in order to increase current capabilities.

Exploiting buck–boost duality in dual active bridge modular multilevel converters to achieve high DC step ratios

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2021
A previously unidentified duality between buck and boost configured dc‐ac modular multilevel converters (MMCs) is firstly revealed. Armed with this insight, a new dual‐active‐bridge (DAB)‐MMC is proposed for high‐voltage dc (HVDC)‐to‐medium‐voltage dc ...

Solution‐Processed Thin‐Film Transistors With Tunable Temporal Dynamics for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed CNT and CNT/P3HT ion‐gated transistors exhibit materials‐defined synaptic timescales: fast CNT devices for high‐frequency spiking and slow hybrid devices for temporal integration. Embedding these dynamics into coupled reservoir‐computing and spiking neural network simulations reveals that a Hybrid‐Reservoir / CNT‐SNN architecture ...

Energetic Offset in Organic Solar Cells‐ Importance, Confusion and Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Energetic offsets in organic solar cells (OSCs) remain a subject of debate due to measurement‐ and lab‐dependent discrepancies. This Perspective clarifies the physical origins of these variations and identifies temperature‐dependent electro‐optical methods as a reliable approach to obtain consistent offset values.
