Generalized Carrier-Based PWM Method for a 12-Switch Converter

open access: yesOpen Engineering, 2016
This paper proposes a generalized carrier-based pulse-width modulation (CBPWM) method for a 12-switch converter feeding three independent loads. The converter topology is part of the (3N + 3)-switch converter family where N is the number of outputs (N ...

Modelling AC Induction Drive in PSpice

open access: yesElektronika ir Elektrotechnika, 2007
Problems of modelling of AC induction drive in PSpice are analyzed. Mathematical model of the motor is referred as to system of electric and magnetic circuits, which are coupled magnetically and electrically. Two systems of equations with decomposed motor variables along x and y axis are used to develop model of induction motor in PSpice.

Impact of the motor magnetic model on direct flux vector control of interior PM motors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The stator-field-oriented, direct-flux vector control has been proven to be effective in terms of linear torque control and model independent performance at limited voltage and current (i.e. in flux weakening) for AC drives of various types.

Time Toxicity in Wilms Tumor: Quantifying the Burden of Healthcare Interaction in the First Year After Diagnosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Impact of PWM strategies on RMS current of the DC-link Voltage Capacitor of a dual-three phase drive [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The major drawback of usual dual three-phase AC machines, when supplied by a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI), is the occurrence of extra harmonic currents which circulate in the stator windings causing additional losses and constraints on the power ...

Establishing an Apheresis Medicine Program in a Resource‐Constrained Setting: A 5‐Year Experience From Lagos, Nigeria

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Coordinated optimization method for IGBT peak voltage suppression of mine-used inverter

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2022
At present, the methods of optimizing busbar structure parameters, changing gate drive resistance and designing absorption circuit are commonly used to suppress the peak voltage of insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) in mine-used inverter caused by ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Feasibility of high-frequency alternating current power for motor auxiliary loads in vehicles

open access: yes, 2011
This paper presents a feasibility study into the application of a 100-V, 50-kHz high-frequency ac (HFAC) network for powering automotive electrical auxiliaries. The study is focused on motor-actuated loads and is divided into two sections.
