Scattering of Metal Colloids by a Circular Post under Electric Fields
We consider the scattering of metal colloids in aqueous solutions by an insulating circular post under the action of an AC electric field. We analyze the effects on the particle of several forces of electrical origin: the repulsion between the induced ...

AC Electric-Field-Induced Fluid Flow in Microelectrodes [PDF]
During the AC electrokinetic manipulation of particles in suspension on microelectrode structures, strong frequency-dependent fluid flow is observed. The fluid movement is predominant at frequencies below the reciprocal charge relaxation time, with a reproducible pattern occurring close to and across the electrode surface.

Onset of Nonlinear Electroosmotic Flow under an AC Electric Field
Nonlinearity of electroosmotic flows (EOFs) is ubiquitous and plays a crucial role in the mass and energy transfer in ion transport, specimen mixing, electrochemistry reaction, and electric energy storage and utilizing. When and how the transition from a linear regime to a nonlinear one is essential for understanding, prohibiting or utilizing nonlinear
