Magnetization And Ac Losses In Superconductors

1999
Abstract Magnetization losses in superconducting filaments and other losses in superconductive wires, composites and cables in time-varying magnetic fields are of considerable importance to magnet design. Important theoretical and experimental investigations in this domain had been performed since the understanding of hard Type II ...

AC product defect level and yield loss

IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing, 1990
The author considers the AC defect level and yield loss after test for both logic and random-access-memory semiconductor chips. Computation of chip AC defect level and yield loss after test is dependent upon the availability of statistical information regarding the behavior of the chip's delay and of the tester error.

Ac Losses in Bi2212 ROSATwires Exposed to an Ac Magnetic Field

2000
We experimentally studied the ac loss properties of Bi2212 ROSATwires(Rotation-symmetric arranged tape-in-tube wire) with 19x6x3 thin filaments and pure silver matrix. Ac losses and I c -B characteristics of the twisted and non-twisted straight sample wires with a diameter of 1.95mm were measured in subcooled LN2 at 66K.

AC Loss in a Composite Hyperconductor

1990
For high magnetic field operation at cryogenic temperatures near 20° K the best lightweight conductor presently available is high-purity aluminum, sometimes referred to as a hyperconductor. However, because of its high purity the material is mechanically weak, and because of its high conductivity the conductor must be fabricated as fine twisted strands

ac losses of superconducting solenoidal coils

Journal of Applied Physics, 1982
ac losses of superconducting solenoidal coils were investigated with a calorimetric method while applying a current or uniform magnetic field of 50 Hz with a sinusoidal wave form. The peak value of the ac current was varied from 0 to 15 rms A and that of the ac magnetic field from 0 to 0.02 T.

AC losses in superconducting niobium

1973
This thesis is concerned with measurements of alternating field losses in cylindrical rods of niobium in its superconducting state. Six samples have been investigated each with a different surface condition, Magnetization measurements of the samples have been studied which show the effect of the surface condition on the first critical magnetic field H ...

AC Loss in High-Tc Superconductors

2000
There are three kinds of AC losses in superconducting wires, transport current losses, magnetization losses and total losses. The first losses are caused by the AC transport currents flowing in the wires, the second caused by the AC external magnetic fields which the wires are subject to and the third caused by the combination of the transport currents
