This technique uses a biased double-electrode system that enables the rate of arrival of charge carriers at the collector electrode to be determined. The electric field strength at the collector is also obtained.

Computation of chip AC defect level and yield loss after test is dependent upon the availability of statistical information regarding the behavior of the chip's delay and of the tester error.

Predicting AC loss in practical superconductors
Superconductor Science and Technology, 2006Recent progress in the development of methods used to predict AC loss in superconducting conductors is summarized. It is underlined that the loss is just one of the electromagnetic characteristics controlled by the time evolution of magnetic field and current distribution inside the conductor.

Ac Losses in Bi2212 ROSATwires Exposed to an Ac Magnetic Field
2000We experimentally studied the ac loss properties of Bi2212 ROSATwires(Rotation-symmetric arranged tape-in-tube wire) with 19x6x3 thin filaments and pure silver matrix. Ac losses and I c -B characteristics of the twisted and non-twisted straight sample wires with a diameter of 1.95mm were measured in subcooled LN2 at 66K.

Journal of Applied Physics, 1982ac losses of superconducting solenoidal coils were investigated with a calorimetric method while applying a current or uniform magnetic field of 50 Hz with a sinusoidal wave form. The peak value of the ac current was varied from 0 to 15 rms A and that of the ac magnetic field from 0 to 0.02 T.
