Computation of Losses in HTS Under the Action of Varying Magnetic Fields and Currents
Numerical modeling of superconductors is widely recognized as a powerful tool for interpreting experimental results, understanding physical mechanisms and predicting the performance of high-temperature superconductor (HTS) tapes, wires and devices.

Current distribution and AC losses in twisted multifilamentary AC superconductors [PDF]
The development of AC superconductors has led to multifilamentary wires having a highly resistive matrix material and a small twist pitch and filament diameter. A numerical one-dimensional model is presented which enables the authors to calculate the current distribution as well as the magnetization and transport current loss in a current-carrying AC ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Surface Influence on Flux Penetration into HTS Bulks
The influence of surface treatment on AC loss in melt-processed quasi-single crystal HTS was investigated with resonance oscillations technique. We have found that amplitude dependencies of AC loss on magnetic field amplitude become rather complicated ...

A brief review is presented on the ac losses of superconductors in the low-frequency, high-frequency, and weak-field regions. Special emphasis is given to the hysteresis loss which is the main part of the low frequency losses. Existing data of the low-frequency losses are collected to be shown in a single figure and it is shown that most of these can ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
