De novo transcriptome sequencing and analysis of genes related to flavonoid metabolism in Abrus cantoniensis Hance

open access: yesJournal of Holistic Integrative Pharmacy, 2021
Background and objective: Flavonoids are important botanical metabolites, which not only protect plants from harm but also exhibit a variety of biological activities. The aim of this study was to examine the transcriptomic profiles of Abrus cantoniensis (

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Computation of Losses in HTS Under the Action of Varying Magnetic Fields and Currents

open access: yes, 2013
Numerical modeling of superconductors is widely recognized as a powerful tool for interpreting experimental results, understanding physical mechanisms and predicting the performance of high-temperature superconductor (HTS) tapes, wires and devices.

Pseudo-loadflow formulation as a starting process for the Newton Raphson [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper introduces new models which approximate the AC loadflow problem, but are able to converge (using the Newton Raphson algorithm) from a wider range of starting points.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Dc and ac behaviour of a normal joint in a superconducting cable [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The application of joints which can be disassembled is studied within the framework of the development of high current (25 kA), high power (0.5 kW) cryogenic current supplies (flux pumps).1,2 The behaviour of a scale model with currents up to 5 kA will ...

Distributed AC power flow method for AC and AC-DC hybrid autonomous microgrids with droop control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering, Science and Technology, 2016
Power flow methods are one of the powerful tools used in the analysis of stable and reliable operation of the electric power systems. Conventional power flow methods make use of slack bus, PV and PQ bus, low R/X ratio in the formulation of the power flow.

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Measurement of Elastoresistivity at Finite Frequency by Amplitude Demodulation

open access: yes, 2018
Elastoresistivity, the relation between resistivity and strain, can elucidate subtle properties of the electronic structure of a material and is an increasingly important tool for the study of strongly correlated materials.
