Redox forms of glutathione in malignant lesions of the stomach with varying aggressiveness degrees
Aim. To study the levels of reduced and oxidized glutathione (GSH and GSSG, respectively), as well as the thiol status in gastric cancer (GC) tumors of various histological types and grades.Materials and methods.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Efficacy of Transcerebellar Diameter/ Abdominal Circumference Versus Head Circumference/Abdominal Circumference in Predicting Asymmetric Intrauterine Growth Retardation [PDF]
Background: The high incidence of IUGR and its low recognition lead to increasing perinatal morbidity and mortality for which prediction of IUGR with timely management decisions is of paramount importance.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Hydra Battles and AC Termination [PDF]
We present a new encoding of the Battle of Hercules and Hydra as a rewrite system with AC symbols. Unlike earlier term rewriting encodings, it faithfully models any strategy of Hercules to beat Hydra.

Methods for increasing productivity of AC-electrospinning using weir-electrode
The presented work brings new knowledge in the field of spinning electrodes for AC‑electrospinning technology, which is used for producing nanofibrous structures using a solution of polyvinyl butyral. It presents new types of spinning weir‑electrodes and

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Investigation of Motor Current Signature Analysis in Detecting Unbalanced Motor Windings of an Induction Motor with Sensorless Vector Control Drive [PDF]
Maintaining the efficiency of AC motors in site equipment is important, given the increasing cost of energy. Reduction of motor efficiency from baseline manufacturer data can go undetected until total failure of the equipment is experienced.
