Machine Learning‐Based Detection of Broken Bars in Dual Three‐Phase Induction Motors: Methodology and Experimental Validation

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
Dual three‐phase induction motor drives are gaining attention in applications where reliability is a critical concern, such as automotive. Although the dual‐stator winding reduces the impact of stator phase failures, these motors remain susceptible to ...

Accurate Inverter Error Compensation and Related Self-Commissioning Scheme in Sensorless Induction Motor Drives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a technique for accurately identifying and compensating the inverter nonlinear voltage errors that deteriorate the performance of sensorless field-oriented controlled drives at low speed.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Indirect Field Oriented Control of Induction Motors is Robustly Globally Stable [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Field orientation, in one of its many forms, is an established control method for high dynamic performance AC drives. In particular, for induction motors, indirect fieldoriented control is a simple and highly reliable scheme which has become the de facto

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Research on cascaded multilevel converters for dual motor drive systems based on a nine‐switch converter

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
In order to address the issues of complexity, high cost, large volume, and low reliability associated with traditional H‐bridge cascaded converters when operating under high voltage, high capacity, and dual electric motor loads, the authors propose the ...

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

PMSM Control via Composite Logarithmic Sliding Mode Control

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
Non‐singular fast terminal sliding mode control (NFTSMC) is a promising control method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control due to its fast convergence speed. However, the presence of unknown disturbances poses a significant challenge to
