Measuring Online Battery AC Resistance Using a DC-DC Converter With Time and Frequency Hybrid Method

open access: yesIEEE Access
The estimation of battery state is important for ensuring the stability of batteries. The AC resistance of a battery is one of the factors used to estimate the battery state, and is measured using a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), a technique that analyzes

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Microwave diode amplifiers with low intermodulation distortion [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
Distortions can be greatly reduced in narrow-band applications by using the second harmonic. The ac behavior of simplified diode amplifier has negative resistance depending on slope of equivalent I-V ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Acetylation of KLF5 maintains EMT and tumorigenicity to cause chemoresistant bone metastasis in prostate cancer

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
The therapies for bone metastatic prostate cancer are limited and the underlying mechanisms are unclear. Here, the authors show that bone derived TGF-β induces acetylation of KLF5 (Ac-KLF5), and Ac-KLF5 promotes prostate cancer bone metastasis and ...

Investigation of Motor Supply Signature Analysis to Detect Motor Resistance Imbalances [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The trend to use inverter drives in industry is well established. It is desirable to monitor the condition of the motor/drive combination with the minimum of system intervention and at the same time retaining compatibility with the latest generation of ...

A large magnetoinductance effect in La0.67Ba0.33MnO3

open access: yes, 2009
We report four probe impedance of La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 at f = 100 kHz under different dc bias magnetic fields. The ac resistance (R) exhibits a peak around Tp = 325 K which is accompanied by a rapid increase and a peak in the reactance (X) in a zero field ...

Transport equation for 2D electron liquid under microwave radiation plus magnetic field and the Zero Resistance State [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A general transport equation for the center of mass motion is constructed to study transports of electronic system under uniform magnetic field and microwave radiation.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Association between P2RY12 Gene Polymorphisms and IVIG Resistance in Kawasaki Patients

open access: yesCardiovascular Therapeutics, 2020
Children with Kawasaki disease (KD) resistant to intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) have a higher incidence of coronary artery lesions (CAL). Despite the association between Purinergic receptor P2Y12 (P2RY12) polymorphism, KD genetic susceptibility, and ...
