Engineering Biochar‐Derived Functional Materials for High‐Performance Supercapacitors: Design Principles, Mechanisms, and Scalable Strategies

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biochar has emerged as a useful and adaptable source of carbon for supercapacitor electrodes. Its value comes from the way biomass chemistry, thermal conversion, and activation conditions shape the resulting pore network, surface groups, and degree of carbon ordering.

Considerations for drug trials in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1095-1112, April 2025.
Abstract Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a heterogeneous condition with potentially serious manifestations. Management has traditionally comprised therapies to palliate symptoms and implantable cardioverter‐defibrillators to prevent sudden cardiac death. The need for disease‐modifying therapies has been recognized for decades.

Seed Dispersal Distances by Ants Increase in Response to Anthropogenic Disturbances in Australian Roadside Environments

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and Evolution, 2017
Ants provide a common dispersal vector for a variety of plants in many environments through a process known as myrmecochory. The efficacy of this dispersal mechanism can largely determine the ability of species to track changes in habitat availability ...

Resistance of Acacia to the Acacia Psyllid, Psylla uncatoides [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Horticulture, 1983
Thirty-one species of Acacia were quantitatively evaluated in the field at San Jose, CA, for resistance to the acacia psyllid, Psylla uncatoides (Ferris and Klyver). This insect causes foliage necrosis and dieback of the tips of susceptible Acacia. A few species exhibited no infestation by the insect, many were found highly to moderately resistant, and

Validated RP‐HPLC–UV Method for the Quantitative Analysis and Stability Evaluation of Amoxicillin in Paediatric Gummy Tablets

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
A validated RP‐HPLC–UV method was successfully applied for amoxicillin determination in gummy tablets. The method is useful for an accurate amoxicillin content determination in paediatric gummies and was applied to study the stability profile of the drug, evaluated over 6 months under storage conditions.
