Hypsometrical Relation for Acacia mearnsii with Different Ages
This work had as objective to select mathematical models to predict the height of trees in function of DBH and age, in black wattle stands, Acacia mearnsii De Wild., in Southeastern region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. For the adjustment of the height data 19 mathematical equations were tested, being used arithmetic and logarithmic linear ...

Inhibitory mechanisms of Acacia mearnsii extracts on the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa
Our previous work revealed that Acacia mearnsii extract can inhibit the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa, the common species forming toxic cyanobacterial blooms in eutrophic freshwater. In the present study, we demonstrated that this plant extract can significantly increase cell membrane permeability and Ca2+/Mg2+-ATPase activity on the membrane.

Invasive plant species for compost production: Review of environmental and economic insights
Abstract Invasive plant species pose significant ecological and economic challenges, threatening biodiversity and altering soil properties, while conventional control methods are often costly and resource‐intensive. This review examines the potential of composting invasive plant biomass as a viable and sustainable alternative that aligns with circular ...

ABSTRACT Lantana camara L. is an invasive alien plant species that is recognised globally due to its extensive distribution and negative impacts on species diversity and ecosystem dynamics. Despite its extensive distribution in South Africa, its physicochemical impacts on soils are understudied. This study investigated the impacts of L.
