Models of Equilibrium Real Exchange Rates Revisited: A Selective Review of the Literature [PDF]
One of the more important concepts in open macroeconomics is the “equilibrium real exchange rate” (ERER). Real exchange rate misalignments are argued to have been the cause of loss of competitiveness and growth slowdowns and eventual currency crises ...

Self‐assembled, scaffold‐free full‐thickness skin equivalents with monoclonal, genetically modified N/TERT‐1 keratinocytes represent a novel in vitro model of human skin and skin diseases. The model is highly robust, reproducible, physiologically relevant, and suitable for high‐throughput applications.

Are Exchange Rates Excessively Variable? [PDF]
"Unnecessary variation" is defined as variation not attributable to variation in fundamentals. In the absence of a good model of macroeconomic fundamentals, the question "are exchange rates excessively variable?" cannot be answered by comparing the ...

Surface‐host dialogue at the implant interface governs biological fate and osseointegration. Surface physicochemical properties of titanium (Ti) dental implants, including microgrooves, nanopatterns, nanotopography, roughness, and wettability, modulate the initial adsorption of proteins and the formation of a dynamic biointerface.

Assessing real exchange rate misalignments [PDF]
There is a renewed debate on the role of exchange rate policies as an industrial policy tool in both academic and policy circles. Policy practitioners usually examine real exchange rate misalignments to monitor the behavior of this key relative price and,

Natural Biomaterials for Osteochondral Repair: From Source to Strategy
Biological origin‐guided overview of natural biomaterials and therapeutic strategies for osteochondral tissue engineering. The circular diagram categorizes representative materials and strategies into plant/algae‐derived, microbial‐derived, animal‐derived, and human‐derived sources, centered on an osteochondral defect repair model.

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.
