Exploring the Parasite Biodiversity in Climbing Perch (<i>Anabas testudineus</i>) in Buriram, Thailand: Morphological-Based Characterization. [PDF]

open access: yesScientificWorldJournal
Anabas testudineus is an amphibious freshwater fish species native to Thailand, which is afflicted by protozoan and metazoan infections. This study was aimed at identifying the presence of parasites in A. testudineus from Thung Lam Natural Reservoir in Buriram Province, Thailand, between November 2022 and January 2023.

Genomics and transcriptomics of epizoic Seisonidea (Rotifera, syn. Syndermata) reveal strain formation and gradual gene loss with growing ties to the host

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2021
Background Seisonidea (also Seisonacea or Seisonidae) is a group of small animals living on marine crustaceans (Nebalia spec.) with only four species described so far. Its monophyletic origin with mostly free-living wheel animals (Monogononta, Bdelloidea)

Classification of the Acanthocephala [PDF]

open access: yesFolia Parasitologica, 2013
In 1985, Amin presented a new system for the classification of the Acanthocephala in Crompton and Nickol's (1985) book 'Biology of the Acanthocephala' and recognized the concepts of Meyer (1931, 1932, 1933) and Van Cleave (1936, 1941, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1951, 1952).
