Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1989
Abstract The test was conducted in a block of mature trees near Rock Island, Wash. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with 4 single-tree replicates. Treatments were applied to the point of drip on 31 Jul with a handgun sprayer operating at 400-500 psi. Rates were based on a dilute application of 400 gal/acre.

Surveillance of Acaricides in Honey
Food Hygiene and Safety Science (Shokuhin Eiseigaku Zasshi), 2022By using the LC-MS/MS method developed by us, we determined the residual amounts of acaricides in honey samples commercially available in Tokyo from April 2015 to March 2021. The results of analyzing 127 honey samples, amitraz was detected in 85 samples at the level of 1.1-34.1 μg/kg. Propargite was detected in 3 samples at 2.4-3.8 μg/kg.

Pest Management Science, 2004
AbstractThe last few years have seen the introduction of an unprecedented number of new classes of acaricides with novel or under‐exploited modes of action, discovered by traditional screening. Acaricide research has uncovered several unrelated compounds that possess improved properties.

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1992
Abstract This experiment was conducted in a one third acre block of 6-yr-old 'Redchief trees on M26, which measured 10.5 ft in height and 9 ft in width and were planted at a spacing of 10 × 15 ft. The experimental design consisted of 4 single-tree plots in a randomized block design, with each replicate surrounded by at least one ...

AbstractA series of 1,2,4,5‐tetrazines has been synthesised and screened for acaricidal activity. Laboratory tests have shown several of the compounds to be highly active mite ovicides. Further examination in the field has identified a highly active compound, which gives prolonged control of mites on top fruit.

Acaricide Residue Determination in Honey
Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1996In the past few years, several methods have been reported for the gas chromatographic determination of acaricide residues in honey with different extraction procedure and detection system. The application of these methods to honey samples of different origins suggest that the treatment with the recommended dose during the adequate time, does not ...

Caffeine, a naturally occurring acaricide
Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 1991Since caffeine is a plant alkaloid that has been described as a naturally occurring insecticide, its acaricidal effect on Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Dp) was investigated. Twelve cultures were established by adding 30 Dp to 200 mg of Tetramin fish food and brewer's yeast (8:2 ratio); six cultures were treated with 20 mg of finely ground caffeine ...

Abstract Treatments were applied to 5 single-tree plots of 7-yr-old trees in a randomized block design. Applications were made with a Swanson DA500A airblast sprayer, which traveled at 2.4 mph and delivered a spray volume of 100 gal/acre.

Acaricide resistance—Back to basics
Tropical Animal Health and Production, 1996Resistance like life is poorly understood and like death is inevitable (but will take varying times to develop). Resistance develops rapidly where the gene frequency for resistance is high and there is increased selection pressure. Resistance should be seen in perspective and can be managed.
