Acaricidal 1,2,4,5‐tetrazines

Pesticide Science, 1987
AbstractA series of 1,2,4,5‐tetrazines has been synthesised and screened for acaricidal activity. Laboratory tests have shown several of the compounds to be highly active mite ovicides. Further examination in the field has identified a highly active compound, which gives prolonged control of mites on top fruit.

Acaricide Residue Determination in Honey

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1996
In the past few years, several methods have been reported for the gas chromatographic determination of acaricide residues in honey with different extraction procedure and detection system. The application of these methods to honey samples of different origins suggest that the treatment with the recommended dose during the adequate time, does not ...

Caffeine, a naturally occurring acaricide

Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 1991
Since caffeine is a plant alkaloid that has been described as a naturally occurring insecticide, its acaricidal effect on Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Dp) was investigated. Twelve cultures were established by adding 30 Dp to 200 mg of Tetramin fish food and brewer's yeast (8:2 ratio); six cultures were treated with 20 mg of finely ground caffeine ...

Acaricide Evaluation, 1989

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1990
Abstract Treatments were applied to 5 single-tree plots of 7-yr-old trees in a randomized block design. Applications were made with a Swanson DA500A airblast sprayer, which traveled at 2.4 mph and delivered a spray volume of 100 gal/acre.

Acaricide resistance—Back to basics

Tropical Animal Health and Production, 1996
Resistance like life is poorly understood and like death is inevitable (but will take varying times to develop). Resistance develops rapidly where the gene frequency for resistance is high and there is increased selection pressure. Resistance should be seen in perspective and can be managed.
