Ultrastructural studies of spore walls of Acaulospora morrowiae and A. scrobiculata

open access: yesMycological Research, 1993
Morphological and ultrastructural studies were used to determine spore wall structure in two Acaulospora species: A. morrowiae and A. scrobiculata . The spore wall of A. morrowiae is divided in three zones (A, B, C), each of which in broken spores separate into layers.

Colonization and Diversity of AM Fungi by Morphological Analysis on Medicinal Plants in Southeast China

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2015
The arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungal distributions in the rhizosphere of 20 medicinal plants species in Zhangzhou, southeast China, were studied. The results showed 66 species of 8 genera of AM fungi were identified, of which 38 belonged to Glomus, 12 ...

Community composition of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi associated with native plants growing in a petroleum-polluted soil of the Amazon region of Ecuador. [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobiologyopen, 2019
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi community composition was investigated in roots of plants naturally growing in a hydrocarbon‐polluted pond in the Ecuadorian Amazon region. Our study revealed 15 AMF species, dominated by the genus Acaulospora; 75 % of the species could not be identified, suggesting possible new species associated with roots of plants under

Improved Salt Tolerance of Lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala) through the Application of Indigenous Mycorrhiza

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forestry Research, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
Salt stress is one of the serious abiotic stressors which limit the growth and development of important crops in agricultural lands. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have been implemented as a strategy to mitigate the adverse effects due to an impact of salt stress through the structural and physiological adjustment.

Organic amendment increases arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal diversity in primary coastal dunes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Plastic pots were inserted beneath seedlings of a shallow-rooted C4 grass species, Ischaemum indicum, with and without a root-impenetrable nylon sachet filled with organic matter (OM) amendment, at seven stations along an interrupted belt ...

Microbial biostimulants as alternatives for the rooting of olive tree cuttings

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2022
Currently, southern Minas Gerais (MG) state is an important producer of different olive tree (Olea europaea L.) cultivars because, in this region, the plants can differentiate the buds to produce flowers and fruit.

Influence of soil chemical properties on relative abundance of arbuscular mycorrhiza in forested soils in Malaysia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Th eeff ect of soil chemical properties on the diversity and colonization of arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) varies among ecosystems. This study was conducted to assess and compare the abundance of AM in a rehabilitated forest and a logged-over forest soil ...
