Abstract The source process of the 2024 Mw 7.1 Hyuganada, Japan, earthquake was investigated using waveform inversion of the onshore strong motion records obtained from the region west of the source area. The main fault rupture occurred 6–12 km south of the hypocenter, with a maximum slip of 4.2 m.

Seizmic response spectra [PDF]
A computation of 1D and 3D seismic motion parameters was made and the influence of input parameters on these parameters were analysed. A modelling was realised on the examples of sedimentary structures geotechnical models.

Nonstationary Stochastic Simulation of Strong Ground-Motion Time Histories : Application to the Japanese Database [PDF]
For earthquake-resistant design, engineering seismologists employ time-history analysis for nonlinear simulations. The nonstationary stochastic method previously developed by Pousse et al. (2006) has been updated.

On February 6, 2023, two earthquakes (Mw 7.8 and 7.5) occurred in Turkey. Notably, 10 provinces in Turkey and several others in Syria were subjected to severe ground shaking, resulting in a high number of casualties following the total and partial collapse of many reinforced concrete buildings.

Some problems in the application of spectrum techniques to strong-motion earthquake analysis [PDF]
A comparison of analog and digital computation of strong-motion earthquake response spectra is made, and it is shown that the preference as to method will depend mainly on availability of computing equipment.

Ground Motion, Estimated Shaking, and Structural Response at Campi Flegrei During Bradyseism
ABSTRACT Campi Flegrei, a densely populated volcanic area bordering the city of Naples (Italy), is currently undergoing volcanic unrest accompanied by seismic activity. Between August 2023 and December 2024, 32 events with duration magnitude (Md)$( {{{M}_d}} )$ equal to or larger than 2.5$2.5$ were recorded, with the largest one Md=4.4${{M}_d} = 4.4 ...
