Bayes attribute acceptance-sampling plan
IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1992The authors briefly review an approach for choosing a prior distribution for a Bayes attribute (good/bad) acceptance-sampling plan. A prior is chosen from confidence levels corresponding to classical lower confidence bounds. Where a Bayes plan is acceptable, the sample size can be reduced. >

Economically-based acceptance sampling plans
Computers & Industrial Engineering, 1989Abstract The most significant advancement in the field of quality control have occurred since the 1920's with the development of statistical quality contol. A major area of statistical quality control is acceptance sampling, in which the decision to either accept or reject a lot is based on the result of a sample from that lot.

Miscellaneous Acceptance Sampling Plans
2019In addition to sampling plans discussed in the previous chapters, there are some other sampling plans which are used in various situations. Incorporating the exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) makes the traditional sampling plan more efficient in reducing the cost and time of inspection.

Fuzzy Acceptance Sampling Plans
2010Acceptance sampling is one of the major components of the field of statistical quality control. It is primarily used for the inspection of incoming or outgoing lots. In recent years, it has become typical to work with suppliers to improve their process performance through the use of statistical process control (SPC).

Tablet Acceptance by a Double Sampling Plan
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1964A double sampling plan for tablet acceptance is presented and analyzed. The answers to three fundamental questions are presented: ( a ) How will the plan operate with respect to batches of tablets which vary in quality from batch to batch? ( b ) What will be the quality of tablets passed into stock by the plan?

First we rewrite the essential ideas of the previous lesson in a different terminology. The lot (population of size N) consists of objects from a (manufacturing) process and are either defective or non—defective; the proportion of defectives in the lot is θ = D/N but D is unknown. The process has been “well— tuned” and the producer believes that θ ≤θ0a

On the Design of Single Sample Acceptance Sampling Plans
Economic Quality Control, 2001Summary: We provide a method of finding exact designs for single sample acceptance sampling plans. The method uses an algorithm that allows determination of plans based on the hypergeometric, binomial or Poisson distributions. Designs can be found for specified OC curves of either Type A or Type B.

Acceptance Sampling Plans by Attributes
2001As the field of quality control enters the next millennium, many pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies have striven to achieve quality in the drug and biologic products they manufacture. This is due in part to increasing public demand for products to be free of defects, as well as the 1987 publication by the international organization for ...

Equal-Risk Acceptance Sampling Plan
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013The common acceptance sampling plan needs to specify two points in the operating characteristic curve, which represent the producers and customers risks, respectively. The points are determined in a subjective way and hence may result in unfairness. This paper presents a new approach, which determines the acceptance sampling plan based on the condition
