Donor-Acceptor Cyclopropanes with an Amino Group as Donor

open access: yes
Over the last two decades, a renaissance has been witnessed in the research field of donor-acceptor (DA) cyclopropanes. Among all the subclasses of DA cyclopropanes, DA cyclopropanes with an amino group as donor (DA aminocyclopropanes) have drawn ...

Identifying the Trade-off between Intramolecular Singlet Fission Requirements in Donor-Acceptor Copolymers

open access: yes, 2020
Intramolecular singlet fission (iSF) has shown potential to improve the power conversion efficiency in photovoltaic devices by promoting the splitting of a photon-absorbing singlet exciton into two triplet excitons within a single molecule.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Tuning the Electron Acceptor in Phthalocyanine‐Based Electron Donor–Acceptor Conjugates

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2015
AbstractZinc phthalocyanines (ZnPc) have been attached to the peri‐position of a perylenemonoimide (PMI) and a perylenemonoanhydride (PMA), affording electron donor–acceptor conjugates 1 and 2, respectively. In addition, a perylene‐monoimide‐monoanhydride (PMIMA) has been connected to a ZnPc through its imido position to yield the ZnPc‐PMIMA conjugate ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Computations in Stochastic Acceptors

open access: yesCoRR, 2018
Machine learning provides algorithms that can learn from data and make inferences or predictions on data. Stochastic acceptors or probabilistic automata are stochastic automata without output that can model components in machine learning scenarios. In this paper, we provide dynamic programming algorithms for the computation of input marginals and the ...

(4+3)-Cycloaddition of Donor-Acceptor Cyclopropanes with Thiochalcones: A Diastereoselective Access to Tetrahydrothiepines

open access: yes, 2019
A general approach is described for the formation of tetrahydrothiepines using donor-acceptor cyclopropanes. Thiochalcones, functioning as sulfur-containing four-atom building blocks, were reacted in a Lewis-acid-catalyzed formal (4+3)-cycloaddition ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.
